A little piece of me

Whew

this has been one busy week. It sometimes seems as though I'm continually running a marathon with no finish line in sight. But it keeps me out of trouble I suppose.lol. I might share some highlights.

the new FK is out and I have a layout in the heritage gallery. It is of my Grandma and Grandpa on their honey moon. Great timing actually as we have all been a little down, as it has just this month, been a year since she passed away. I really do love all these older photos and I enjoy scrapping copies of them.

On Wednesday we headed off to the movies again this time to see 'Over the Hedge'. This was also a really cool flick, a little slow and Ethan got a little bored but essentially pretty good.
We really do love to go to the movies, it has been something I have always done with the kids, of course the boys go off on their own with friends now, but once they used to come with me.
lol. Soon the girls will be going off to them by themselves too and mum will be left out in the cold. Boy it's sad sometimes to realize how temporary we are in our children's lives. All to soon we are left out of all the good fun stuff in their lives, they would rather do with their friends. Anyway no more of that too disheartening. lol.

Got another exciting thing in the mail this week but will share that later

Holiday fun

We went to see CARS yesterday and we loved it, including me. I loved Nemo and this one is as good as that. Disney Pixar does a fantastic job on these films, they always have little messages in them and the character's have so much depth. LOVE LOVE LOVE EM. Ethan really liked it and he has the cars from Maccas of course but when we were in Target yesterday he wanted so many toys featuring them. They have this doodle board with all the character's and a Sony Game Oh so much stuff. Thank God it's his Birthday next month and I can get him a few things, it's a pity they take so long to come out on DVD as that would be cool, but it might be out for Christmas.

This beautiful little bag arrived today in the post, I ordered it a little while ago and am so glad it is here just in time for me to pack it to go scrapping tomorrow. It's so lovely.

Well best go sort these kids out, little bit of friction happening today lol.

School Holidays

Are here so once again being able to access the computer here is going to be a struggle. The boys spend so much time MSMing their friends and now Katelyn has started as well there is no hope for me.lol.

Last Friday was Katelyn's 10th birthday. It was the last day of school for the term and she had the day off then we picked up 2 of her friends at 5pm went to Maccas for dinner then headed over to the movies to see RV. It was really good, quite funny. Then we spent the weekend at my aunt's doing some concreting and stuff. Monday Tara came over to have cake and lunch with Katelyn and give her her prezzie. Was a great day, got the usual photo of blowing out the candles, boy she's grown. I get the same photos every birthday I should do a layout with them all on, each year getting bigger, that'd be cool.

Haven't done much scrapping, but I've done heaps of shopping. lol. Got my hands on those Rhonna Farrer stamps, way cool!!!!! Here they are don't ya just love em!!!!! Can't wait to play. Have bought heaps of the prima stuff too, but these were a little disappointing, still nice, but I thought there would be more flowers etc in the tins.
Love Love Love the Basic Grey ribbons, they are so divine I want 2 of each one. I have the Urban couture ones and the hang ten, just beautiful.
I do have plans for getting together with a couple of gals on Saturday though and I'm hoping to get 2 or 3 layouts done. Will be using lots of my new stamps too, YAY. I love stamping.

Ethan has really wanted to go to see Cars at the movies so I plan on taking the kids to see this one day soon. Should be fun to see, the Pixar one's are usually good.

ok kids are buggin me for something better go do it lol.

On my doorstep.....

This morning was the latest SM. So I will share the layout I have in the Ribbon feature. This is a photo of my Friend Kim's daughter. Isn't she beautiful. It looks quite washed out in the mag which is disappointing as the colors are so nice in it.

Just a short post today, till next time.

Fun Stuff........

Have been scrapping again today but have been doing a layout for SM so I can't share sorry but I did stumble across something really cool today while looking for mounting stuff for stamps. This wonderful lady is doing some cool photoshop things on her blog she is calling Photoshop Friday. Take a look here this is so awesome, click on the links for Photoshop Fridays and take a look. I love all the cool things you can do with layers and brushes in PS but I haven't had the time to learn how, so now I'm going to do this little bit on her blog each week. I'm really excited this is so up my ally I don't have a lot of time to play around with PS so this is just right for me.

Back to looking for mounting stuff for stamps, I got these fabulous Cactus Pink stamps, aren't they sooo nice!!!!! and I want to temporarily mount them so I'm looking for an Australian store that has acrylic blocks and Ezy Mounting stuff. If anyone can help me as to where to find them for a good price I'd really appreciate it. I might even try e-bay for a change. I'm thinking of getting the other style of stamps that Cactus Pink has they are so yummy. I've always liked stamping and I'd love to do more of it on my pages.

Enough from me again, more scrapping to do tomorrow. Yay.

Creating

I have had a lovely day today doing my most favorite thing, scrapping LOL. I finished my first ever DT page for Scrap Happy. I'm really happy with it, I have used a photo taken at ISC of some of the Scrap Happy DT. Kim and Ray( the owners) Michelle, Debbie and Myself. I used some of those Chatterbox transparency letters for the title, wow I love those things. Hand cut a few flowers out of Chatterbox PP. WROTE ON my photo. OMG I never thought I would do this, but I love it, specially when there's so much unused space in a photo. What better way to use it.

Scrap Happy's forum and gallery is up and running now, so why don't you head on over and check it out. Say hello, these girls are the friendliest, fun and most fantastic bunch you could ever meet. Look at their retreat scheduled for August while your there. This will be one not to miss they have a great line up of tutors (OMG even me LOL) and the price just can't be beaten. Go on go check it out.

Then there was a little goss over at ISC chat, apparently On Elsie Flanagan's blog she says she will be in Sydney 17-19 November, could it be that she will be tutoring at ISC?!?!?!?!? OMG that would be so cool!!!!!! She is just awesome, love her style. I wasn't thinking of going to ISC Sydney this year as I was thinking of giving Melbourne a go and they are so close together I can't see myself doing both. But now OMG who could risk missing out on Elsie. I have so many other things on at the end of the year that I was considering not going to another ISC at all this year. It's going to be really hard to decide what to do.

Oh well that's all from me tonight, but I'm doing more scrapping tomorrow so I might have more to share then.
