A little piece of me

Yep.....

another ordinary day. We all got up early, I thought this might be a problem after so many weeks of late nights and sleep in's, and got ready for the first day of school. Ethan fell asleep in the car when we went to drop them off, at 8.30am this is just weird he must not of thought the early morning was a good idea. Called into a friends house on the way home and spent way too long there I think cause I had nothing to rush home for, naughty!!!! can't get into this habit. Came home, checked e-mails, did a little cleaning then it was time to go pick the kids up again. Did some groceries on the way home and kids ate and sat in front of the TV for the remainder of the afternoon. Got no scrapping done, will have to do something tomorrow as I haven't for a couple of days. I found this cool link to a quizz about scrapping styles and what type of DT you would suit, and this is the answer I got..........

KI MEMORIES DESIGN TEAM!
Innovated and inspiring...two words that best describe your scrapbooking style. You are always growing and evolving to the next level with your pages and it shows with each and every layout you create.

so this was a little bit of fun. Tomorrows another ordinary day so I best start planning for it. Actually Ethan goes to Pre-school, this is not ordinary but I'm trying to tell myself it is. I'm feeling very out of sorts because of it. It will all be good, It will all be good!!!!!!

Ready

For the start of school!!!!!! We have spent the last couple of days spring cleaning, done those horrible junk cupboards and benches where stuff always gets dumped. Thrown out all the old clothes that don't fit. And passed about 5 large garbage bags of toys to the Salvo's, Yay feels good!!!!!!!!. Might get into my bedroom, walk-in robe and ensuit over the next week and then next week get in to the linen closet and laundry. I won't know myself, cleaning out all this clutter might make other changes easier.

On another note, got the three scrapping orders I had been waiting for, I was disappointed they didn't arrive on Friday for the weekend, but I wouldn't have got all that cleaning done if they had. So it was a good thing after all. Now I feel I can look forward to having a good play with them tomorrow when all the kids are at school. This will help me pass the day very nicely I think, but I'm not too sure about Ethan it's the first time it will be just me and him in 6 weeks, I think he might get a little bored, we'll see????

Here's a little piccy of my goodies

Cheers

Scrapping ups and downs

I did another layout yesterday, was going through the 'Love your handwriting' book by Heidi Swapp that I won at Scrapboxx and decided to have a go at doing my own title. Then of course I thought I would use some of her tape that I have got and hand write my journaling. I saw this rows of dots idea on a cushion recently and thought I would use that too. The size is 8x12 as I'm waiting on a new Scrapworks album to arrive from Blue Bazaar in this funky new size and should be fun for something different. Well not fused on the journaling I have done, something not right might cover it up yet. Love the title, should get better at this with a bit more practice. And the dots look good might use this again too. All in all it was a good practice layout, had fun doing lots of different things.

This next one I did a little while ago, I had these photos of Ethan that weren't great, but wanted to scrap the story, I like how it turned out anyway. We can't always have fantastic photo's, but they still need to be included in our albums. ( and yes I know 'scallywag' is spelt wrong but I didn't have any 'Y's left so went with what I had lol.) Love these Heidi Swapp rub-ons.

Now onto some sadder news I have left Scrappers Warehouse Design Team. The requirements by the store were changing and I felt they didn't suit me anymore. Now I'm feeling at a loss, I did really enjoy being on a DT, love the challenge of it. It keep me stimulated and busy so I hope another door of opportunity opens soon.

Catch ya later

The End

Of the school holidays. They have gone very fast, not long enough for us. Wish there was a couple more weeks. We have had a quiet holiday this time, very nice actually, very relaxing. We have bought all the new uniforms and purchased all the books and pencils etc that they all need, so they are all ready to go, next Tuesday. Ethan starts part time pre-school on Wednesday, this is very sad for me. My last little one going off into world. He has matured so much over the last couple of months I no longer wonder if he is ready. He is and I can't hold him back. I just have to deal with it. Might have to find myself a hobby lol .

I have done some scrapping I will share one now.........

The new SM is out too, this issue has my first ever SM challenge in it. It is the Urban Lily challenge. Loved doing this layout loved the products, it was really fun although a little daunting being my first challenge. Here it is....

I have done some big scrapping orders and am now waiting for them to arrive.... Can't wait, will show my purchases when they come. Till next time

Hot Hot Hot

Boy has the weather been hot!!!!!!! I' m not sure whether this is the cause for all the crazyness going around ATM but I hope everything cools down real soon.

We have been having very quiet holidays here. Last Tuesday Katelyn, Tahlia, Ethan and I went to the movies to watch King Kong. It was such a long movie (can't believe Ethan sat through it) too long. I must say i didn't like it very much. Why I'm not sure, but I do hate sad endings. I like feel good movies, this wasn't one.

Then tonight Katelyn, Ethan and I went to see Nardia, that was a good one. Liked it very much was quite long but enjoyable and had a good ending. Craige and Tahlia went to see Just like heaven. She enjoyed it very much, and gave me a good run down of it on the way home. Next week they want to see Chicken Little. Hope it's a good one.

Looking forward to getting some more scrapping done this week, have done a few layouts lately and I love it.

Nothing else hapening for us so I will sign off

Lovely Break

We decided to go camping over the weekend, what a really nice break it was. Its so calming by the river, time seems to stand still and all your cares and worries just disappear. We hear it was really hot in town, but it was nice and cool by the river, especially swimming in it. It was so nice we haven't unpacked the boat as we intend to go back next weekend again.

Here's a couple of nice photos.

There was only one downside and that was coming home, which it always is, but this one was worse as the boys who stayed home got viruses in my laptop. It has only been on the net for a very short while, such a pain in the bum I tell you. It has taken me 3 days to get them all out!!!!!!! I was not a very happy girl. Although it was a accident, I told the boys they can at least repay me all the hours I spent on fixing it, by doing jobs for me. So they both owe me 23hrs of work each. They have had to do all the dishes and all the vacuuming and even had to wash and fold some washing for me today. This has allowed me to get onto some scrapping things I need to get done. I got my first DT layout for this year done, you will be able to see it at SW soon.

that's all from me now, I hope everyone had a really great Christmas and I wish you all the best for 2006.
